TDP Study Group
This TDP Study Group has been convened to address the questions contained in a letter from the City of Springfield and City Utilities to the Ozarks Transportation Organization. Those questions are:
- Do we need a downtown transfer station, regardless of the type of bus route system in place or planned for the future?
- What are the one-time and ongoing costs associated with establishing and operating a complete grid system?
- What is the optimal size of the City’s future buses? What fuel should these buses use?
- What are the advantages, disadvantages, and costs associated with establishing a regional transit authority and what steps would be involved in making this transition? (Bring appropriate leaders representing area municipalities into the conversation when addressing this charge.)
