Press Release

The Ozarks Transportation Organization (OTO) is excited to announce the proposed award of approximately $102,000 in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 funding to the Ozark Senior Center, pending approval by the OTO Board of Directors. OTO issued its FFY 2025–2026 Section 5310 Call for Projects to support transportation services that improve mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout the OTO region. The Ozark Senior Center was recommended for funding to replace one vehicle in its fleet with a wide-body cutaway vehicle. The new vehicle will support transportation services for seniors in eastern Christian County, including trips for shopping, medical appointments, and access to the Ozark Senior Center. The Ozark Senior Center will provide an estimated $18,000 in local matching funds toward the project. The OTO Board of Directors will review and consider approving the award at their September 17, 2026 Board Meeting, held at 12:00 noon.
