Draft Public Participation Plan 2026

The Ozarks Transportation Organization (OTO) is seeking public input on an update to its Public Participation Plan. The Public Participation Plan (PPP) outlines how the OTO informs, engages, and gathers public input on plans and policies at key decision points in the regional transportation planning process.

Changes in this update include a new section describing how OTO evaluates and improves its public outreach efforts, updates language and processes throughout the document to improve clarity and reflect current guidance and practices and expands descriptions of engagement tools and opportunities for public involvement.

The public comment period will end at 5pm on July 13, 2026. Comments received will be reviewed and incorporated where appropriate before the plan is presented to OTO Board of Directors for adoption, which is scheduled for July 16, 2026.

Ozarks Transportation Organization is your Springfield-regional Metropolitan Planning Organization, or MPO.
